George Roberts

George Roberts, age 79, of Edgewood, Maryland passed away on September 7, 2021 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Los Angeles, Texas, he was the son of the late Floyd and Mary (Jenkins) Roberts and husband of Anna Mae (Anderson) Roberts. He was a member of Mountain Christian Church and attended the Mountain Road Campus, the Abingdon BPOE Lodge #2354 and the American Legion Post #17 - Edgewood. He was married for 58 years. He retired from Edgewood Arsenal in 1998 where he worked as a chemical engineer for more than 30 years. He enjoyed cooking for the entire family. He was a former bowler and enjoyed golfing. He was a veteran of the US Army.

George is survived by his wife Anna Mae Roberts; son, Kenneth (Tina) L. Main of Edgewood, MD; daughter, Susan (Bruce) Y. Sinclair of Forest Hill, MD; grandsons, Dillon Main, Dean Main; granddaughter, Christine (Joseph) E. Apolenis; step-grandson, Sean (Kim) Sinclair; great-grandchildren, Madison, Caroline and Cameron Apolenis and Ayden Main; brothers, James Roberts, Harry Roberts and a sister, Rosemary Talkington.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 brothers.
