GEORGE P. PROVENZANO, age 24, of Mt. Wolf, PA, formerly of Edgewood, MD, died suddenly on March 6, 2007 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Baltimore, MD. Born in Greenock, Scotland, he was the son of Hannah G. McAlpine Burkhardt and the stepson of Robert A. Burkhardt of Mt. Wolfe, PA, and son of Jeffrey Kelly Provenzano and stepson of Dawn A. Provenzano of Baltimore, MD. He was employed at Looney’s Pub as a cook and was an avid sports fan. He graduated from Edgewood High School in 2000 where he played lacrosse, football and wrestled. He was on the honor roll and was part of the student government.
He attended Salisbury State University and played for the Scottish Lacrosse team in 2002. He was always the life of the party and was the best brother and friend anyone could have.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, John J. Provenzano of Mt. Wolfe, PA and Nicholas C. Provenzano of Baltimore, MD; two sisters, Angelina N. Burkhardt of Mt. Wolf, PA and Stephanie M. Hullihen of Baltimore, MD; and grandparents, George McAlpine of Greenock, Scotland and John and Elaine Provenzano of San Antonio, TX.
Pallbearers will be John J. Provenzano, Tony K. McDowell, Brian J. Nearhood, Jimmy F. Ferguson, Bobby E. Hutsler, Josh T. O’Connor, Shaun C. Labrooy, and Jose L. Medina.
