GEORGE HENRY KERN, JR., age 50, of Joppa, MD, died on February 15, 2007, at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, Bel Air, MD. Born in Havre de Grace, MD, he was the son of the late George Henry Kern, Sr., and the late Mary Alice Doran Kern. A livestock farmer, he was a life long resident of Harford County and was a Past Assistant Scoutmaster of Troop #369. He was a truck driver for Egypt Farms in White Marsh, MD, for over 10 years and worked for the Harford County Board of Education as a building engineer. He was on the Harford County Farm Fair Board, and was a member of the Farm Bureau, as well as, the National Rifle Association. He loved going to the tractor pulls.
Mr. Kern is survived by his wife, Joyce Regina Kern (nee Morrison) of Joppa, MD; two son, George Kern, III, and Martin Kern, both of Joppa, MD; one stepson, William Baublitz of Arkansas; two stepdaughters, Angela Kern of Maryland and Holly Kern of Pennsylvania; one sister, Mary “Patsy” Kern of Joppa, MD; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers were William Baublitz, George Kern III, Martin Kern, Brian Morrison, Johnny Brewster and Jimmy Duran.
