George Granville "Trap" Bruce III, age 68, of Bel Air, MD passed away on April 21, 2016 at his home. Born in Baltimore, MD he is the son of Ruth Cleveland Gregory Bruce and the late George Granville Bruce Jr. He was an avid Baltimore Ravens fan. His nephews and nieces were especially fortunate to have an uncle who lavished them with love, attention, and special outings.
A graduate of the University of Baltimore, "Gran" worked in government most of his career; first in the Baltimore City Court System, then at Social Security, and finally at Aberdeen Proving Grounds. When he retired he was an editor for in-house publications and technical documents.
For most of his life, Gran was a member of Perry Hall Baptist Church. His favorite and most fulfilling service at the church was as a team member making house visits to people who have recently attended that church to welcome them and to share the life and love of Jesus with them.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brother, Greg Bruce and wife, Cyndi, of Oxford, PA; sister, Karen Reed of Bel Air; and nieces and nephews, Nathan Reed, Jordan Reed, Cassandra Bruce, Andrew Bruce, Hannah Reed, Emmalee Bruce and Rebeccah Bruce.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Jordon and Kami Reed's campus ministry in Mexico through the ministry of CMf (https://give.cmfi.org/p-248-jordan-and-kami-burns-reed.aspx
