George E. Maeby

GEORGE E. MAEBY, age 82, of Forest Hill, MD, died on November 17, 2007 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late George Eugene Maeby Sr. and the late Mary Ellen Gist Hartman, and husband of the late Katherine E. Kellner Maeby. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served our country during WWII. He was a school teacher at Poly Technical Institue, retiring after 25 years. He also taught at Harford Community College. He enjoyed wood working, playing his guitar, ballroom dancing, and working on his computer. He was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church and The Holy Name Society.

Mr. Maeby is survived by a son, Michael G. Maeby and his wife, Deborah D. Maeby, of Forest Hill, MD; three daughters, Bonnie K. Volz and her husband, Frederick D. Volz; Patricia A. Maeby, and Michele M. Sterling, all of Forest Hill, MD; a brother, John T. Maeby of Albany, NY; and four grandchildren, Jennipher L. Maeby-Scribner of Minot, ND, Kevin D. Volz, Bryan D. Volz, and Samantha D. Maeby, all of Forest Hill, MD.
