George Brooke Watts

GEORGE BROOKE WATTS, age 72, of Scio, New York, died in Olean General Hospital, Olean, New York on August 3, 2005. Born in Emmorton, Maryland, he was the son of the late Raymond Sylvester and Pearl V. Watts. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict until 1952. At the age of 34 he owned Harford Roofing Contractors. In 1968 he purchased a dairy farm in Jasper, New York where he still worked. His family goes back thirteen generations to the first settlers of Harford County.

Mr. Watts is survived by his wife of 52 years, Viola B. Coad Watts; one son, Gregory Watts of Seminole, Florida; four daughters, Kathleen Ziolkowski of Elkton, Pamela Green of Friendship, New York; Debora Watts of Fairbanks, Alaska, Brenda Slade of Belmont, New York; one brother, Raymond Watts of Abingdon; two sisters, Shirley Robertson of White Marsh and Shelby Sarvino of Havre de Grace; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
