George Joseph Bond, age 69, of Delta, Pennsylvania, passed away on April 8, 2025, at Sterling Care Forest Hill in Forest Hill, Maryland.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, George was the beloved son of the late George and Margaret (Kramer) Bond. He was a graduate of Bel Air High School and went on to attend Harford Community College and obtain an AA Degree. George held his realtor’s license and spent many years working as a custodian for Harford County Public Schools at Harford Technical High and C. Milton Wright High, where he found quiet pride and fulfillment in his work.

George was known for his gentle spirit and kind demeanor. He shared a special, unbreakable bond with his sister Patti, with whom he had a deep and loving relationship — they supported and cared for each other throughout their lives.

A man of many interests, George found joy in gardening, model trains, and traveling to train shows. He loved riding the trains in Strasburg and Western Maryland and visiting the PRR Museum in Strasburg. George also enjoyed country music, Hallmark Mysteries, NCIS and Blue Bloods. In his younger years, George had several dogs, but his joy of animals extended into his later years. As a regular visitor to Whiteford Library, George loved to do research on the computer.

In honor of George’s lifelong love of gardening, guests are invited to bring a potted perennial plant of their choosing to the Celebration of Life. These plants will be placed in his cherished garden as a living tribute to his memory and bring lasting memories to the family and neighbors.

George is survived by his brother, Peter M. Bond and Pete’s wife, Cynthia Bond of Delta, PA.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by brother George Edward Bond, Jr. and sister, Patricia Ann Bond.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Christ Fellowship Church, 135 Industry Lane, Forest Hill, MD 21050 on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 6:30 p.m.
