Gene Francis

Gene Francis, age 83, of Joppa, MD, died on August 9, 2011 at his home. Born in Parkville, MD, he was the son of the late Charles Thomas and Dixie Gertrude Taylor Francis. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he retired from Bethlehem Steel in 1986 after 42 years of service.

Mr. Francis is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Annabelle Mary Simmons Francis of Joppa, MD; son, Robert L. Horsey Sr. and wife, Ann, of Greenbackville, VA; sister, Margarette Talbacchia of Hamilton, MD; two grandchildren, Rebecca A. Calloway of Mardela Springs, MD and Robert L. Horsey Jr. of Parsonsburg, MD; and four great-grandchildren.
