GENE CLIFF “BEAR” HOSTETTER, age 61, of Edgewood, Maryland, died in Gilchrist Center at Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Towson, MD on February 20, 2005. Born in Lexington, Virginia, he was the son of the late William Owen and Leona Estelle Hostetter. He worked as an auto mechanic for Fullerton Auto Parts in White Marsh, MD. A resident of Harford County, MD, since 1970, he enjoyed working on cars and fishing.
Mr. Hostetter is survived by his wife of 22 years, Josephine Dolly Hostetter; two step-sons, Wayne Meads of Fallston, MD; David Meads, Sr. of Forest Hill, MD; two sisters, Irma Lee Emore of Lexington, Virginia; Mary Ann Magann of Apex, North Carolina; three step-grandchildren, Kerry Poist of Baltimore, MD; Kevin Meads of Fallston, MD; and David Meads, Jr. of Forest Hill, MD.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers, Jack Willis Hostetter; Jerry Owen Hostetter; and William (Willie) Howard Hostetter.
Pallbearers will be: Michael Doyle, Philip Berman, Junior Furnkas, Jack Sherman, Ralph Medley, Jimmy Rhinehart, Bruce Flanger, and Edward Kelly.
