Gedney Bartlett Brown, age 84, of Bel Air, MD passed away on July 29, 2018 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air. Born in Hackensack, NJ, he was the son of J. Clarence Brown and Florence Adelaide (Gedney) Brown. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked as a chemical engineer at Westinghouse for 39 years. He was a member of Fallston United Methodist Church, where he was sang in the choir and designed and made paraments for the sanctuary. Prior to moving to Maryland, he was a member of South Avenue United Methodist Church in Wilkinsburg, PA for 58 years. He was also a member of AICHE (American Institute of Chemical Engineers). He was an Eagle Scout and in that capacity served on the Eagle Court of Honor for both of his grandsons. He enjoyed playing golf and gardening.
Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Carol M. Brown; two daughters, Sharon B. Gardner (Clint), and Kathryn B. Crowe (Brendan); and grandchildren, Steven and Aaron Gardner, Sarah and Anna Crowe.
