Gay Joyce Smithson

Gay Joyce Smithson, age 61, of Abingdon, MD passed away on January 30, 2016 at Season's Hospice @ Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she is the daughter of John Robert Zindel and the late Betty Joyce (Hughes) Zindel, and wife of the late James Edward Smithson. She retired from Harford County Public Schools in 2013 where she drove a school bus transporting special needs children all over the county. She was a proud mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Smithson is survived by her daughters, Michele L. Tallman (Scott), Kristi M. Burke (John) and Kelly A. Kramer (William); brothers, Mike Zindel and Jack Zindel; sister, Linda Zindel; grandchildren, Abigail Tallman, Aidan Tallman, Emmet Burke and Alyssa Kramer; and several nieces and nephews.
