Gary Swearingen

Gary Swearingen, age 57, of Pylesville, MD passed away on December 28, 2015 at Gilchrist Hospice in Towson, MD. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Charles Arthur Swearingen Sr. and Charlotte Glee (Corbin) Swearingen. He grew up in Dundalk and was a 1977 graduate of Dundalk High School and a graduate of Valley Forge Christian College. He worked for CSX transportation for over 25 years where he was a purchase clerk. In 2004, 25 years after they graduated, he married his high school sweetheart. He loved his German Shepherds, Sabre, Xena and Gideon and enjoyed doing home improvements and gardening.

Mr. Swearingen is survived by his wife, Veronica Swearingen; son, Scott Swearingen and his companion, Evie Hogans, of Baltimore; daughters, Sarah Rosales and husband, Paul, of Las Vegas, NV, Heidi Swearingen of Baltimore, Katie Swearingen of West Palm Beach, FL; stepchildren, Bradley Bowen and wife, Samantha, of Bel Air, Jeannette Stott and husband, John, of Conyers, GA and Danielle Bowen of Baltimore; brother, Charles Swearingen Jr. and wife JoAnn of Romney, WV; grandchildren, Iliana, Isabel, Luca, Caleb, Wiley, Aurora and Marley; mother-in-law, Ilse Flohr; brother-in-law, Jon Grube; sister-in-law, Susanne Grube; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Mack Swearingen.
