Gary Hughes Manifold

GARY HUGHES MANIFOLD, age 60, of Bel Air, MD, formerly of Stewartstown, PA, died on April 3, 2007, at Gilchrist Hospice Center, Towson, MD. Born in Dallastown, PA, he was the son of the late H. Hughes Manifold and the late J. Sylvania Manifold. He graduated from Kennard Dale High School in Fawn Grove, PA in 1964 and then from Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, PA in 1968 with a B.S. Degree in Mathematics. He served in the U.S. Army for three years in Okinawa and stateside. He graduated from Seton Hall University in 1974 with a Masters in Quantitative Analysis. During his career he worked for Johnson & Johnson, Lukens Steele, Superior Tube, Penn Dairies, and Aberdeen Proving Ground before he retired in 1992. He was a member of New Covenant Presbyterian Church and enjoyed the outdoors and playing sports before the debilitating effects of Multiple Sclerosis.

Mr. Manifold is survived by his wife of 35 years, Linda Metzel Manifold of Bel Air, MD; two sons, Chad Manifold of Columbia, MD, and Joshua S. Manifold and his wife Heather C. Manifold of Annapolis, MD; two brothers, Ray E. Manifold of Stewartstown, PA, and Dr. Craig A. Manifold of San Antonio, TX; and one sister, Kay M. Estepp of York, PA.
