Gary Gordon Kiefert, age 60, of Joppa, MD, died on February 27, 2010 at Stella Maris Hospice in Timonium, MD. Born in Green Bay, WI, he was the son of Hope Eugenia Fitch Kiefert of Green Bay, WI and the late Gordon Frederick Kiefert. A resident of Harford County for 16 years, he had served our country in the U.S. Army and had worked as an Equipment Service Representative for the Anheuser-Busch Metal Container Corporation. He enjoyed sprint car racing and had raced stock cars in the 1980's. He also collected coins and enjoyed birds, and as an avid Green Bay Packers fan, he still followed Brett Favre. He was always known for saying "Life is Good".
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 16 years, Linda Maus Kiefert of Joppa, MD; son, Matthew G. Kiefert of Rising Sun, MD; daughter, Ashley H. Kiefert of Rockford, IL; stepdaughters, Tori Destree, Kim Fischer, and Carrie Capelle, all of WI; sister, Gail Lauterbach of Oshkosh, WI; grandchildren, Aubreyana and Kaylee, both of Rockford, IL; and step-grandchildren, Blake, McCoy, Justin, Jacob, Brady, Kalissa, Trae, Jenna, Brice, Carlie, Skyler, Chloe, and Brevin.
