In loving memory of Gary Lee Boettcher, age 83, of Churchville, Maryland, who passed away on December 16, 2023, at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Iowa, he was the son of the late Henry and Irene Boettcher and the devoted husband of Alice (Livecy) Boettcher. Gary served his country with honor as a veteran of the U.S. Army, contributing to the values he cherished throughout his life.
Gary was not only a dedicated family man but also a committed Scout Master, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of his boys he mentored.
Gary and his beloved wife, Alice, shared a love for adventure, particularly through their travels. Their journeys often took them back to Gary's cherished home state of Iowa, creating lasting memories and strengthening their bond over the years.
In addition to his devoted wife, Gary is survived by his loving sons, Dale Gary Boettcher and Donald Boettcher, his daughter Sheila L. Boettcher, six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Their lives have been enriched by the wisdom, kindness, and love that Gary so generously shared.
Alongside the warmth of Gary's memory, there is a somber note as he is preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Boettcher. The family takes comfort in knowing that Gary is now reunited with those who have gone before him.
