Garmon W. Brooks

Garmon W. Brooks, age 85, of Forest Hill, MD, passed away on April 9, 2012 at Forest Hill Health and Rehabilitation in Forest Hill, MD. Born in Marion, VA, he was the son of the late Charles G. Brooks and Bell M. Ingram. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he retired after 23 years in the military where he fought in WWII and Korea. He was a member of the American Legion in Edgewood, the Elks Club and the 25th Infantry Division Association both nationally and locally. He loved to travel and liked working in the garden.

Mr. Brooks is survived by his wife of 64 years, Hazel Brooks of Forest Hill, MD; son, Bruce Raymond Brooks and wife, Elizabeth, of Bel Air, MD; brother, Frank Brooks; sisters, Elizabeth Younger, Della Smith, Helen Brown, Ellen Stafford, Ruth Kline and Anne Hammer; and grandchildren, Bradford Brooks and Anne Mack and her husband, Steven.
