Gail E. Chrest

Gail E. Chrest, a retired nurse - a devoted wife - a loving mother, passed away at age 70 on June 22, 2022, while surrounded by family. Gail was born to Arthur and Eleanor (Forste) Heiderman. She graduated from Essex Community College in 1980 with a degree in Nursing and dedicated her life to helping others as a Registered Nurse, with much of her career spent in Oncology. She enjoyed cooking for her loved ones, had a passion for dogs and dancing, and could brighten up every room that she stepped into. Gail was a two-time marathoner, who demonstrated dedication and heart into everything she did.

Gail is survived by her husband of 46 years, Greg Chrest, her children; Abby Chrest, Amy Marsh (Charlie), and Maize - the dog; sister, Susan Henschen; brother, Stephen Heiderman; and her grand-puppies, Eleanor "Ellie", Harley and Goose-Man.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gary Heiderman.
