G. Stewart Silling Sr.

G. STEWART SILLING SR., age 67, of Abingdon, MD, died on June 13, 2008 while on a fishing trip to Canada. He was born in Baltimore, MD, and was the son of the late George and Ruth Silling of Joppa, MD. As a life long resident of Harford County, he was a lifetime member of Franklinville Presbyterian Church where he served in many capacities. He also served in the Maryland National Guard; and as a member electrician of the IBEW Local Union #24, he worked all over the country and retired in 2003. He enjoyed motorcycling, hunting, fishing, camping and boating.

Mr. Silling is survived by four children, Dawn Hutchinson of Abingdon, MD, George Silling Jr. of Havre de Grace, MD, Dana Hutchinson of Street, MD, and Diane Carl of Pylesville, MD; a sister, Frances Metz of Versailles, IL; five grandchildren, David Hutchinson Jr. of Street, MD, William Hutchinson Jr. of Fawn Grove, PA, Sam Carl, Elizabeth Carl, and Stephen Carl, all of Pylesville, MD; and one great-granddaughter, Gabriella Hutchinson of Fawn Grove, PA.

Serving as pallbearers are: son-in-laws, David Hutchinson Sr., William Hutchinson Sr. and John Carl Jr.; grandsons, David Hutchinson Jr. and William Hutchinson Jr.; and longtime friend Carmen Voso.
