Frederick M. Campbell Jr., died peacefully in his sleep on January 4, 2012. Born September 29, 1939 in Kittanning, PA, he was the son of Alice Pearce Campbell and Frederick M. Campbell. He was married to Sally Deringer Campbell for 51 years.
He was a graduate of Chestertown High School in Chestertown, MD and graduated from Geneva College in Beaver Falls, PA.
For 39 years he was an Operations Research Analyst at Aberdeen Proving Ground. He was active in both Presbury United Church and Bel Air United Methodist Church where he sang in the Chancel Choirs, Praise Band and volunteered with VIM and Senior Food Delivery and various other ministries.
He was a Boy Scout Leader with Troop 777 and 811. An avid golfer, he also enjoyed the beach, winters in Florida and Arizona.
He is survived by his wife, Sally Campbell; son, Bryan Campbell and his wife, Gwen, of Bel Air, MD; daughter, Beth Pouchan and her husband, David, of Anthem, AZ; and five grandsons, Bryan Campbell Jr., Trevor Campbell, Trey Bourne, Adam Pouchan and Alex Pouchan.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Bel Air United Methodist Church, 21 Linwood Ave., Bel Air, MD 21014.
