FREDERICK LUNT NELSON, JR., age 78, of Perrysburg, Ohio, formerly of Sarasota, Florida and Edgewood, Maryland, died in Lutheran Village at Wolfe Creek, Holland, Ohio on July 18, 2004. Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Frederick Lunt, Sr. and Hilda Barbara Base Nelson, and the husband of the late Anna Elizabeth Freburger Nelson. He had worked for the Chessie and CSX Railway Corporation for 38 years. He served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corp. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved to travel. He was an active member in his church, Our Lady Queen of Martyrs, in Sarasota.
Mr. Nelson is survived by four sons, Frederick L. Nelson, III and his wife, Mary of Perrysburg, Ohio; Michael R. Nelson and his wife Kathleen of Aurora, Colorado; Timothy J. Nelson and his wife, Gail of Stewartstown, Pennsylvania; Joseph P. Nelson and his wife, Celia of Lewis Center, Ohio; one daughter, Elizabeth A. Kirkham and her husband, Rodney of Springboro, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Tracey Nelson Andrejak of Kingsville, Maryland; one brother, Henry F. Nelson of Joppatowne; and 10 grandchildren. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was predeceased by one son, Francis G. Nelson and a sister, Rosemary Franks.
Pallbearers will be Frederick L. Nelson III, Michael R. Nelson, Timothy J. Nelson, Joseph P. Nelson, Rodney Kirkham, and Justin Nelson.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Disease Association, 1850 York Road, Suite D, Baltimore, Maryland 21093 or to the charity of choice.
