FREDERICK “JIM” A. LYONS, age 76, of Baltimore, MD, formerly of Joppa for 30 years, died on February 7, 2007 at his home. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Jess Albert Lyons and the late Elizabeth Porter Anderson. An Army veteran, he served as a military policeman during the Korean War. Later he was an auto mechanic. He was a member of the American Legion Post 130 and enjoyed a cold beer.
Mr. Lyons is survived by his wife of 53 years, Freda Elizabeth Dodson Lyons, of Baltimore, MD; one son, William Frederick Lyons of Baltimore, MD; one daughter, Brenda Leigh Gibson of Baltimore, MD; one brother, John Anderson II of Abingdon, MD; one sister, Helen E. Ryan of Abingdon, MD; four grandchildren, James A. Lyons of Baltimore, MD, Kimberly J. Scott, Charles T. Scott Jr., and Andrew Penner, all of Florida; two great-grandchildren, Aiden Scott of Florida and Gauge Lyons of Baltimore, MD; and an aunt, Ann E. Laubach of Middle River, MD.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Beverly Hava; a brother, William Lyons; and a step-father, John J. Anderson, who Mr. Lyons called Dad for nearly 57 years.
