Frederick "Fred" J. Wendricks died at the age of 72 on June 10, 2016 at his home in Edgewood, MD. He was born in Green Bay, WI to Francis Alexander Wendricks and Geraldine (Asimont) Wendricks. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked as a dental assistant for the government. He was stationed at Fort Meade, MD, then France, where he met his future wife, had three tours in Germany and came back to Maryland at the Aberdeen Dental Clinic. He attained the grade of Sergeant First Class and was the NCO in charge of several dental clinics. He loved to explore new things and had a very rich and wonderful life. He traveled extensively to France, throughout Germany, the USSR, Morocco, Holland, Belgium, Spain, Italy, the old Yugoslavia, French Guyana, Mexico, Venezuela, Israël.
Survivors include his wife of over 50 years Bernadette J. Wendricks; his son Jonathan Wendricks (Angela) of Markleville, IN; and his sisters Ethel Dufek and Doris Rosin both of Green Bay, WI, and Ruth Kirane (Paul) of Belvidere, IL.
Visitation will be held at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Edgewood, MD on Friday, June 17, 2016 from 11:30 to 12:30 pm., with mass to follow at 12:30 p.m. There will be a get-together in the hall after mass.
