Fred Sluder, Jr.

Fred Sluder Jr., 78, Veteran and Longtime Mechanic, of Darlington, MD passed away on October 9th, 2024. A proud veteran, Fred dedicated 40 years of his life working as a mechanic at Enfield Equipment, where he found joy in working on tractors and earned the admiration of many for his hard work and expertise. 

Fred is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Joan Sluder, and his children: Bobbie Jo Bradley and her husband Joe of Havre De Grace, MD; Tommy Arnold; Tammy Dowell and her husband Joe of Conowingo, MD; Juanita Earle and her husband Richard of Whiteford, MD; Melissa Sullivan of Bel Air, MD; Gail Steele and her husband Tom of Indiana; and David Richardson and his wife Kim of Oklahoma. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Mandy Sylvester, Kristie Norris and her husband Dave, John Earle, Morgan Earle, Erin Sullivan, Stephanie Arnold, and Stephen Arnold and Great granddaughter Emma Norris.

Fred leaves behind his sisters, Barbara Sluder and her wife Mary of Baltimore, MD, and Linda Ball and her husband Frank. Fred will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his love for mechanics, and his generous spirit.
