Fred C. Smith

FRED C. SMITH, age 76, of Edgewood, MD, died on November 4, 2006 at his home. Born in Chatham Hill, VA, he was the son of the late James Edmonson and Annie Mae Wyatt Smith. He was a carpenter in the construction business. A U.S. Army veteran, he served his country during the Korean war. A long time member of the NRA, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. His family said he adored his grandchildren.

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Yvonne C. Jones Smith of Edgewood, MD; six children, Cathy A. Lindemann of Savannah, GA, Robin C. Crowl of Christianburg, VA, Tracey L. Harris of Flag Pond, TN, Tammy D. Rollins of North East, MD, Wendy D. Smith of Edgewood, MD and Jason C. Smith of Edgewood, MD; seven sisters, Gracie Anderson of Marion, VA, Elizabeth E. Ewald of Marion, VA, Martha Jones of Jonesboro, TN, Margaret Osborne of Marion, VA, Mary Alice Jones of Marion, VA, Glenna Baldwin of Durham, NC and Particia Nunley of Bluefield, WV; eleven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Smith was predeceased by two brothers, James R. Smith and Jeffrey W. Smith; and one sister, Nancy McGrady.
