Franklin "Jimmy" Eugene Edwards, age 84, of Bel Air, MD passed away on April 9, 2018 at his home. Born in Yadkinville, NC, he was the son of Felix Monroe and Elsie Lee (Crouse) Edwards and was the husband of the late Eva Gray Edwards. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving his country during the Korean War. He loved gardening, crabbing, fishing and dancing with his wife at "Pop's Place", the American Legion and other country music events. He had previously attended Emmorton Baptist Church where he maintained six of the church buses. He was a very loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and was always wanting to help out.
Mr. Edwards is survived by two sons, Lee Edwards of Bel Air (Darlene) and Allen Edwards (Donna) of McDonough; daughter, Pam Hopkins (Mike) of Darlington; grandson, Chris Edwards; four granddaughters, Amy Edwards, Lacey Marino, Melissa Schafer and Kelsey Norman; 8 great-grandchildren; and sister, Gelene Haulsey of Aberdeen.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by grandson, Dalton Edwards, brothers, Lonnie and Bob Edwards, and sisters, Myrtle Beaman and Irene Kitts.
