Frankie L. Rose, of Phoenix, AZ, went home to the Lord on Saturday, December 31, 2016 in Forest Hill Health and Rehab Center. Frankie was an author, freelance writer, storyteller, singer, world traveler, and prayer warrior. She was 86. She wrote blogs for newspapers and magazines long before anyone labeled them so. After the death of her beloved husband, Otis, she moved from the Southwest to Forest Hill, MD and was actively involved with her church, Calvary Baptist in Bel Air, as well as a docent at the Hays-Heighe House in Bel Air. She is survived by her two children, two step-children, six grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren; all who gave her great joy.
A private interment will be held at Alexandria National Cemetery in Alexandria, Virginia.
A celebration memorial service will be held Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 206 E. Courtland Pl., Bel Air, MD, 21014. A time of visitation will precede the service at 10:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, Kitchen Fund.
