FRANK MIKE ESKRA, age 84, of Bel Air, Maryland died at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, Bel Air, Maryland on June 23, 2003. Born in Holich, Czechoslovakia, he was the son of the late Ignace and Mary Eskra, and the husband of the late Agnes Kordula Eskra. He had retired in 1981 from the Bata Shoe Company where he worked as a tool and dye maker. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WW II. He was an avid soccer player, loved farming, gardening, and making smoked sausages.
Mr. Eskra is survived by one son, Frank Thomas Eskra of Hanover, Pennsylvania; one daughter, Donna E. Blische of Forest Hill, Maryland; one sister, Mary Sylvester of Endicott, New York; three grandchildren, Shaun Blische of Abingdon, Maryland; Carli Blische of Alexandria, Virginia; Christine Eskra of Hanover, Pennsylvania; two great-grandchildren, Hannah Blische and Haley Blische, both of Abingdon, Maryland. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was predeceased by one brother, Joseph Eskra.
Those who desire may contribute to the National 4th Infantry Division Scholarship Program. Contributions may be made at the funeral home on the day of the viewing.
