Frank Melcavage, age 75, of Monkton, Maryland passed away on June 9, 2022 at his home. Born in Pasadena, Maryland, was the son of Peter Melcavage and Eileen Wilson McHargue. Frank began his employment with the Baltimore City Police Department in 1970 after graduating from the University of Maryland at College Park. He enjoyed his positions with the police department and obtained his masters degree from Johns Hopkins University in 1975. Frank retired from the police department in 1997 with the rank of Major.
After his retirement, Frank began another career as Facilities Manager for the State of Maryland. He remained with the State until his retirement in 2005. After his 2005 retirement, Frank enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and continued his woodworking hobby. And, as a Ravens fan, Frank joined his daughter on many Sunday afternoons and watched the game with her.
Frank is survived by his wife of 51 years, Kathy Melcavage; daughter, Nancy Jones and husband, John Mastromanolis; granddaughter, Tory Jones; and sister, Evelyn Syski (Witold).
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Amber Jones.
