Frank John Hormes Jr., age 87, of Fallston, MD, died on September 3, 2010 at his home. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Frank John Hormes Sr. and Louise Estelle Moffet Hormes, and husband of the late Frances Marie Biebl Hormes. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served our country during WWII. A Master Electrician, he owned and operated his own construction business, retiring after 40 years. A member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, he was also an associate member of Bel Air United Methodist Church where he was active in Manna House, as well as the Stephen Ministries. He volunteered at Fallston United Methodist, Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, and The Sharing Table, and was very active in the FCCAU.
Mr. Hormes is survived by his son, Ronald C. Hormes and wife, Cheryl, of Palm Harbor, FL; daughter, Darlene J. Alban and husband, Dean R., of Forest Hill, MD; loving companion, Betty Ann Smith of Fallston, MD and her children, Sharon and Terry Whited of Parkville, MD and Tim and Jane Smith, of OR; grandchildren, Lisa M. Alban and fiancé, Carl Nicks, of St. Petersburg, FL, Ryan J. Alban and wife, Shannon, of Parkville, MD, Craig J. Hormes of Oldsmar, FL, and Holly L. Roland and husband, Chase, of Tarpon Springs, FL; and great-grandchildren, Connor Alban of Parkville, MD and Leland Roland of Tarpon Springs, FL.
Pallbearers will be Ryan J. Alban, Craig J. Hormes, Tim Smith, Carl Nicks, Terry Whited, and Bob Ude.
