Frank J. Puente

FRANK J. PUENTE, age 71, of Pylesville, MD, died on March 17, 2006 at his farm. Born in McKeesport, PA, he was the son of the late Ceferino Jesus and Katherine Mary Spuhler Puente, grew up in Donora, PA, and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh. In 1959, he moved to Harford County to teach at Bel Air High School. He went to work at the Aberdeen Proving Ground as a research analyst in 1964. He purchased a 58 acre farm in Northern Harford County in 1977. With his sons, he built two new homes and restored a Victorian home on Norrisville Road. He took great pride in woodworking, landscaping and the beautiful surroundings he created. His family said that he was a devoted and proud father who was quite active in parenting his three sons, and to whom his three grand-daughters brought him great joy. They said that he was a unique individual with a vision for how his family should live and the determination to make that happen.

Mr. Puente is survived by his wife of 41years, Rebecca R. Riley Puente of Pylesville, MD; three sons, Mark Puente of Baltimore, MD, Philip Puente of Parkton, MD and Jeffrey Puente of Timonium, MD; and three grandchildren, Becla Puente, Ellie Puente and Megan Puente, all of Parkton, MD.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Reta Nastasi.
