Francis T. Brandis, Sr.

FRANCIS T. BRANDIS, SR., age 71, of Belcamp, Maryland, formerly of Ridley Park, Pennsylvania, died on November 8, 2004 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Francis and Irene Bentley Proud Brandis. He was retired from Domino Sugar after 36 years of service where he was a distribution manager. He had worked at both the Philadelphia and Baltimore Domino locations. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Abingdon and had volunteered for Meals on Wheels. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and enjoyed traveling with his wife, especially to Europe, Costa Rica and throughout the United States. He served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

Mr. Brandis is survived by his wife of 47 years, Bernadette D. McDevitt Brandis; four sons, Francis T. Brandis, Jr. of Erial, New Jersey, Mark A. Brandis, of Glen Allen, Virginia, Christopher J. Brandis of Ridley Park, Pennsylvania, and Thomas M. Brandis of Havre de Grace, Maryland; a daughter, Mary Ellen Brandis of Ossining, New York; and five grandchildren.
