Francis "Sonny" Hamrick

Francis “Sonny” Hamrick, 79, of Bel Air, MD died on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center.

Born on April 29, 1943 in Westminster, MD, he was the son of the late, Charles Hamrick and Myrtle Elizabeth (Miller) Lang-Hamrick. Mr. Hamrick was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Sonny Retired from Eddie’s of Roland Park, he also proudly served as manager for Pantry Pride, and Box N Save Grocery. During his younger years, Mr. Hamrick was a member of the Baltimore Colts Corral and served as a volunteer fire fighter in Baltimore city.

Sonny is survived by his wife of nearly 56 years, Margaret (Peggy) Hamrick, his son, Charles (Chuck) Hamrick and daughter-in-law, Kim. His grandchildren, Katlyn and Kyle of Bel Air, Maryland; his sister, Fay Fields of Finksburg, MD; his sister-in-law, Denise Paulus of Westminster, MD; his niece, Treasa Markle Baust and family, his nephew Paul Virtz and family, his niece Stacey Potter, nephew Ryan Wilson and family, nephew Kristopher Erline and family.

Friends will be received at McComas funeral home, 50 West Broadway St. Bel Air, MD 21014 on Friday, May 5, 2023, from 11 - 12 PM. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home immediately following visitation with Pastor Larry Hoyle officiating. There will be no internment at this time.
