Francis (Frank) William Du Bois, Sr.

FRANK Du BOIS, SR., age 81, of Glen Arm, formerly of Perryman, died at Glen Arm Retirement Community on November 1, 2002. Born April 8, 1921 in Malone, New York, he was the son of the late Frank Roy Du Bois and Marie Catherine Amell Foy.

A Navy veteran, stationed on board a munitions ship in the South Pacific during WW II, he moved his young family to Harford County in 1946, upon his discharge from the military. He was a retired federal employee, having worked at Aberdeen Proving Ground for 30 years. He also worked for Lee Buick part time for nearly 20 years. He enjoyed gardening.

Mr. Du Bois is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Catherine Mabel Humphrey Du Bois; two sons, Francis W. Du Bois, Jr. of Bel Air; Robert D. Du Bois of Bel Air; one daughter, Mary D. Elliott of Bel Air; six grandchildren, Stephanie D. Butler of Pittsfield, Massachusetts; Jennifer Du Bois of Seattle, Washington; Francis W. Du Bois, III of Nashville, Tennessee; Jody E. Frick of Bel Air; James D. Elliott of Bel Air; Bradley D. Elliott of Bel Air; and one great-granddaughter, Marie Butler of Pittsfield, Massachusetts.
