Frances Worthington Craig

FRANCES WORTHINGTON CRAIG, age 86, of Havre de Grace, MD, died on August 24, 2007 at University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore, MD. Born in Level, MD on May 6, 1921, she was the daughter of the late James Earl and Evelyn Irene Carr Worthington. She was a homemaker, but in her early years, she worked at the Bata Shoe Company. She was a life member of Wesleyan Chapel Church and served on many committees, including the Board of Trustees. She was also a Charter member of the Level Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, being an office holder many years and on many committees. She was very dedicated to helping at most activities in the kitchen. She square danced for 45 years with the Harford Hoedowners.

Mrs. Craig is survived by her husband of 66 years, William Carroll Craig Jr. of Havre de Grace, MD; two sons, James W. Craig and his wife, Shirley, of Sun City, AZ, and William D. Craig and his wife, Carolyn, of Havre de Grace, MD; one brother, Robert M. Worthington of Havre de Grace, MD; two sisters, Evelyn Bell Hess and Ruth L. Brannon, both of Bel Air, MD; five grandchildren, Karen C. Platt and Daniel R. Craig, both of Aberdeen, MD, Kasey S. Craig of Havre de Grace, MD, Michael S. Craig of Phoenix, AZ, and Patrick Daniel Craig of Surprise, AZ; and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, William E. Worthington.

Pallbearers were Douglas Worthington, Thomas Worthington, Brian Worthington, Ronald Worthington, Clarence Ross, and Daniel Craig.
