Frances T. Smith

Frances Taylor Smith died at the age of 89 on August 12, 2016 at her home in Churchville, MD. She was born in Level, MD to Charles Alexander Taylor and Helen F. (Adams) Taylor and was the wife of the late James Claude Smith Sr. A 1943 graduate of Bel Air High School, she worked at Aberdeen Proving Ground as an Administration Supervisor where she retired after 38 years of service. She lived on the Smith Farm in Bel Air for over 30 years and lived at her home in Churchville for 35 years. She was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church, was an avid Bridge player and volunteered at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center.

Survivors include her son James C. Smith Jr. of Bel Air; her sister Isabelle Taylor Stearn of Level; and grandchildren April L. Smith of Owings Mills and J. Chadwick Smith of Austin, TX.
