Frances Mary Young

Frances Mary Young, age 82, of Abingdon, MD, died on April 25, 2010 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Brookhaven, MS, she was the daughter of the late Vincent Michael and Josephine Antoinette Sassone Barranco, and wife of the late Robert Lee Young. A resident of Harford County for most of her life, she attended St. Margaret School and Bel Air High and was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church. She worked with her husband to train race horses and had also worked at the Admiral's Cup Restaurant in Fells Point. She enjoyed dancing, boating, and going for rides on a Sunday afternoon.

Mrs. Young is survived by her daughter, Sharon R. Young of Abingdon, MD; sisters, Stella Souders of Bel Air, MD and Pearl Purcell of Abingdon, MD; grandchildren, Justin G. and Christian A. Siplin; and great-grandchildren, Dyllan K. and Marley R. Siplin.
