Frances A. Barr

Frances A. Barr, age 82, of Havre de Grace, formerly of Bel Air, MD, died on December 15, 2010 at Citizens Care Center in Havre de Grace, MD. Born in Joppa, MD, she was the daughter of the late James Barnaby and Ethel May Parks Gross. She retired in 1993, after 25 years, from the Harford County Board of Education where she was a buyer. An avid baseball fan, she loved the outdoors and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Barr is survived by her daughters, Sharon L. Wagner and husband, Walter, of Havre de Grace, MD, Barbara A. Sprissler of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Beverly K. Metcalf and husband, Steve, of Ashton, MD; grandchildren, Alisa Cox of Pylesville, MD, Lauren Alampi of Havre de Grace, MD, Leah and T.J. Sprissler of Laurel, MD, and Zachary Eller of Washington, DC; and great-grandchildren, Alexandra and McKenzi Cox of Pylesville, MD, Bailey Alampi of Havre de Grace, MD, and Kayla Nichols of Laurel, MD. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Anna May Holdorf.

Pallbearers will be Zachary A. Eller, J. Steve Metcalf, Anton B. Sprissler Jr., Walter C. Wagner Jr., Daniel Allen Cox, and Michael Allen Alampi.
