Folger Brooks

FOLGER "BUDDY" BROOKS, age 68, of Perryville, died at his home on September 3, 2004. Born in State Road, North Carolina, he was the son of Bertha Estelle Holcomb Brooks of State Road, North Carolina and the late Harvey Lee Brooks. He was retired from Cytec, Havre de Grace, where he was an inspector. He served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Elks BPOE for numerous years. He liked to coach softball and enjoyed relaxing on the deck in his favorite chair, enjoyed his frequent travel trips with his sister, Rachel, to North Carolina, and enjoyed collecting antique replica model cars, remodeling the house and building anything. He loved talking with his neighbors.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Brooks is survived by his wife, Ella Sue Wade Brooks; a son, Harvey Lee Brooks of Edgewood; two daughters, Tina Dianne Murphy of Bel Air and Patricia Lynn Brooks of Edgewood; two sisters, Marie Lester of North East and Rachel Johnson of Joppa; and two grandsons, Kevin Brooks of North East and Timothy Murphy of Bel Air. He will be missed by his four legged companions, Sydney, Maggie and Inky.
