Florence J. Turek

Florence J. Turek, 87, of Bel Air, MD, died at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center on April 24, 2010. Born in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Peter and Katheryn Banach Janczewski. A resident of Harford County for 46 years, she worked as a hair stylist in Edgewood. As a past member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, she and her husband were involved in the production and sale of the annual Easter Candy Fundraiser. She enjoyed knitting, quilting and bowling.

Mrs. Turek is survived by her husband of 64 years, Vincent A. Turek of Bel Air, MD; sons, Gerald Turek and wife, Sheridan, of Joppa, MD, Christopher Turek and wife, Connie, of Taylorville, IL, Gregory Turek and wife, Gail, of Gamber, MD, and Mark Turek and wife, Carol, of Abingdon, MD; daughter, Sandie Francis and husband, Ron, of Sterling, VA; brother, Walt Janczewski of Monroeville, PA; eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
