Florence A. Poynter

Florence A. Poynter, born December 28, 1915 in Fergus Falls, MN, passed away on December 21, 2015 at Lorien of Bel Air, MD. She was the daughter of the late Emil and Mary (Michels) Degner and wife of the late Harley Poynter. She is survived by her 5 children. Sons Richard Poynter of The Villages, FL, James Poynter of Cambridge, MD, Douglas Poynter of Gloucester, VA, and daughters Kathleen Philistine of BelAir, MD, and Marcia Coffin of Machias, ME. She was also a loving grandmother to 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Florence was a resident of Dundalk for 60 years and had worked, for over 30 years, as a bookkeeper for S.S. Kresge in Dundalk. Florence was a very independent woman who loved spending time with family and traveling whenever possible.
