Faye Marqueen Pyle

August 6, 1922 — August 14, 2016

Faye Marqueen Pyle, 94, of Forest Hill, passed away peacefully at home on August 14, 2016 with her loving family by her side. Born and raised in Berwick, PA, she was the daughter of John H. and Thelma E. (Pollock) Shultz.

After graduating from Berwick High School in 1941, she began working at Western Union and was quickly promoted to manager. In that role, she traveled the Tri-State area and ultimately was transferred to Bel Air where she met her future husband. She always talked about the first time they met at a local Main Street restaurant and how handsome he was in his uniform.

She was very active in local garden, quilting, bridge clubs and the Officer's Wives club. She served as a volunteer at Fallston General Hospital, the APG Thrift Shop and the Lutheran Mission Society. Her humble approach in providing community services was an inspiration to her family and friends.

Faye has been a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church since the late 1950s and sang in the choir for more than 40 years. She was an active member of the Daylighter's Group.
