Fannie P. Mcmillan

Fannie Pennington McMillan, age 87, died Wednesday, May 23, 2007 after a lengthy illness at Westminster Nursing Home in Westminster, Maryland. Fannie and her late husband, JC McMillan, had resided in Bel Air, MD for many years.
Born in West Jefferson, North Carolina, Fannie was the daughter of the late Carrie Jane and Winfield Pennington.

Fannie is survived by a sister, Iona Rose of Bel Air, MD and a daughter-in-law, Sharon McMillan of Westminster, MD.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by, a son Jessie McMillan, brothers, Gordon, Glenn, Frank, Jones, Roger, Guy, Woodrow and Carl Pennington and sisters Ola Howell and Blanche DiBennedetto.

Prior to succumbing to illness, Fannie enjoyed gardening, sewing and loved animals. She was also an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing. In her younger years, a perfect day for Fannie was sitting in a duck blind with husband JC watching for geese and ducks.
Fannie’s years of employment included Bata Shoe Company, Martin Marietta, and Bendix Corporation.
