F. Tucker Smith

F. Tucker Smith, age 83, of Joppa, MD, passed away on August 5, 2013 at his home. Born in Fordwick, VA, he was the son of the late Harry Tucker and Louise Elizabeth Parker Smith. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was employed as a crane operator at Bethlehem Steel for 40 ½ years.

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Vivian P. Smith; son, H.T. Smith II (Diane) of Joppa; daughter, Dana Elaine Smith of Abingdon; brothers, Ernest Smith of Roanoke, VA and Winston Smith of West Point, VA; sisters, Charlene Staples of Charleston, SC, Geraldine Mills of Huntsville AL, Caroline Woebke of Stanton, VA, Wanda Wolfe of Fishersville, VA and Kay Lawson of Fayetteville, GA; grandchildren, Stacie Wise (Chris), Kelly Cox (Jim), Joshua Smith and Julie Smith; and great-grandchild, Jordan Wise. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Gayla Lee Cornett (Emory); brothers, Maurice and Donald Smith; and sisters, Ellen Leatherwood, Josephine Colvin and Margaret Ann Colvin.
