Evonell Williams Draper of Bel Air, MD, died on December 18,2017. She was 87. She was born January 13, 1930, Galax, VA, the daughter of the late Joseph M. and Avis C. Williams, and the wife of Robert J. “Buck” Draper.
She retired in March, 1986, as an Executive Secretary and Personal Assistant to the Technical Director, Army Chemical Center’s Research and Development Command, APG, MD after serving 31 years. Prior to that she was employed by the Harford Mutual Insurance Company, Bel Air, MD.
She was a 1948 graduate of Bel Air High School and a member of Bel Air United Methodist Church which she joined in 1958.
She is survived by two daughters, Jackie D. Ensor and husband John of Mt. Airy, MD; and Jane D. Russell and husband Barrett of Bel Air, MD; two grandsons, Scott Ensor and wife Amy of Catonsville, MD; Mark Ensor and wife Kristen of Ellicott City, MD; and two granddaughters, Hannah and Lydia Russell of Bel Air, MD; and five great-grandchildren, Joey, Elsie, Ashley, Luke, and Grady Ensor; one brother, Thomas G. Williams and wife Dorothy of Bel Air, MD. She was predeceased by three brothers, Colen L., Elroy, and Joseph D. Williams.
