Everette (Eddie) Roy Watson passed away peacefully on June 22, 2021 at the age of 75. His battle with serious medical issues over the years showed his courage in facing life challenges with faith and fortitude. He loved Jesus, his family, Faith (his Pug-Nut) and the Ravens. He was a member of Cranberry United Methodist Church in Aberdeen, Maryland. His crowning glory, aside from the birth of his children, was being a pilgrim within the Emmaus Walk community having participated in several retreats over the years. He was also a very active volunteer for Hope’s Pantry, a church run food bank serving the Aberdeen area. He took great pride in his work as a machinist and retired from Crown, Cork & Seal in 1995 after 30 years of service.
Everette is survived by three children, Dawn Louise Velenovsky, Matthew Everette Watson and Samantha Lynne Romanino. He was blessed with ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild and will be missed by his surviving siblings, Patricia Reed, Dianna Scheffler and Linda Mason.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Ginger Lee Whitman; a brother, Charles E. Watson; and parents Everette G. Watson and Alice M. Watson.
The family will be hosting a memorial service on Saturday July 10, 2021 at 10:00am at Cranberry United Methodist Church. Entombment will be Private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Everette’s name to Hope’s Pantry, c/o Cranberry United Methodist Church, 1632 Perryman Road, Aberdeen, MD 21001.
