Evelyn Elizabeth Shaw Kramar (1936-2025)

On April 25, age 88, in Lancaster, PA, formerly of Bel Air, MD. Beloved wife of John Winston Kramar. John and Evelyn were high school sweethearts and celebrated 68 years of marriage in September. Devoted mother of Susan Kramar Bowen (Bob) and John Shaw Kramar (Eric). Cherished grandmother of Liz Bowen (Will) and Robby Bowen (Ana). Dear daughter of the late Frank N. (Bud) Shaw and Elizabeth (Lib) McBride Shaw.

Born in Street, Maryland and raised in Bel Air, Maryland, Evelyn showed a deep talent for music - winning a local talent show by singing “Little Sir Echo” at the age of two. An accomplished pianist, she studied classical piano for twelve years and was in demand as a frequently requested accompanist for soloists in Harford County for many years. Evelyn formerly served as the protocol officer of the U.S. Army Ordinance School and U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command at Aberdeen Proving Ground. She was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church in Bel Air and Chapter #83 Order of the Eastern Star, as well as a charter member and Past Honored Queen of Bethel #35 International Order of Job’s Daughters.

The family will be having a private service on their own at a later date.
