Evelyn Edith Simmons

Evelyn Edith Simmons, age 90, of Delta, PA passed away on November 14, 2015 at Hart Heritage in Street, MD. Born in Baltimore, MD she is the daughter of the late James Cleveland Warns and Edith Evelyn Morrison Warns and wife of the late Walter George Simmons Sr. A lifelong Harford County resident before moving in with her son and his family, she was a custodian for Halls Crossroads, Edgewood Middle (Box Hill School), John Carroll and St. Margaret Catholic School before retiring on 9/1/85. She loved to make cakes, attended the Senior Center in Delta for the last 2 years and enjoyed playing Bingo at Hart Heritage where she ranked in the top 2 or 3 each week for all time wins.

Mrs. Simmons is survived by her son, Bernie Simmons of Delta, PA; daughters, Diane Simmons and Edith Sells, both of Bel Air; three grandchildren and a great grandchild. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Walter George Simmons Jr., brother, Frank Warns and sister, Elizabeth Warns.
