Evelyn Carolyn Benser

Evelyn Carolyn Benser, age 66, of Joppa, MD, died on May 3, 2009 at her home. Born in Aurora, NC, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Maude Robinson Pishalski. An avid reader, she had worked at IKEA in White Marsh for 13 years, and was very active at Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church. A mentor to many people, she was very kind and supportive of her friends and family and had a profound interest in working with young people. She also loved spending time with her dogs.

Mrs. Benser is survived by her husband, Raymond Benser of Joppa, MD; son, David K. Benser and wife, Heather L. Benser; brother, Edward Golombieski; sisters, Kathy Mellott, Toni Linthicum, Roseanne Barbieri and Theresa Fiorelli; and one granddaughter, Kristen E. Benser. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Stephan Golombieski.

Pallbearers were David Benser, H.T. Smith, Mark Groscup, Clay Maas, Miles Miller, and Robert Terry.
