Eunice Dailey Bishop

On Monday, June 19th, 2023, our dearest mother, Eunice Dailey Bishop, peacefully passed away at home. 

Born in Tazewell, Virginia, on September 14th, 1935, Eunice was the first daughter to James and Josephine Dailey. Eunice was part owner and operator of the family business as well as a full-time homemaker to four children.

Those that know Eunice understand what an incredible loss this is. She was the center of our universe and had so much love for her family and everyone she had contact with. Mom was happiest with the family around her and catching up with distant relatives on the phone. Her passions were cooking (especially anything with chocolate), sunbathing, watching the gameshow network and baseball games.  Above all these, dancing with my father was the joy of her life. She was a compassionate listener and gave advice like no other, but her hugs were her specialty.

Eunice is survived by her three children, Pamela Bishop Zbikowski (Don), Timothy Bishop (Manilyn), and Barry Bishop plus eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Eunice is also survived by her only sister Martha Dailey Harrison (Bill).

In addition to her parents, Eunice is proceeded in death by her husband, Oakie Herman Bishop Jr., son, Oakie Herman Bishop III, and grandchildren, baby James Bishop and Thomas Logan Bishop.
