Eugene S. King Jr.

Eugene S. King Jr., age 82, of Edgewood, MD, passed away on November 3, 2012 at Hart Heritage in Forest Hill, MD. Born in Lake Toxaway, NC, he was the son of the late Eugene S. King Sr. and Norma Chapman King. A true "Southern Gentleman", he was a cattleman on the family's farm in western North Carolina and an active member of the Mt. Moriah Calvert Baptist Church and the Brevard Lions Club where he held the position of secretary. He enjoyed singing in the church choir, dinners and visits to Earthshine Mountain Lodge, traveling to Lions Club conventions and visiting family. In his later years, he joined his sister and her family in Maryland where he became an active member of the Aberdeen Lions Club and the Edgewood Baptist Church.

Mr. King is survived by his sister, Norma King Procell of Bel Air, MD; niece and nephews, Patty and Tony Wilkins of Atlanta, GA, Larry and Sue Procell of Edgewood, MD and Ken and Mary Procell of Bel Air, MD; five grand nieces and nephew and three great-grand niece and nephews.
